“Silver Tongued Devil, Demon Letch”

A Song about SBF, Caroline Ellison and Bitcoin

Over a bowl of chopped up cucumber and high on acid did Sam whisper into Caroline’s ear, “double up or quit, double stake or split”?

Was the late Lemme Kilmister of Motörhead, actually Nostradamus 2.0 and did he write two songs about Sam Bankman-Fried, Caroline Ellison and Bitcoin? Did these visions appear on an album released back in 1980? The songs in question being “The Ace of Spades” and “The Chase is Better than the Catch”.

Is the silver tongued devil none other than SBF himself and his “letch”, Caroline? Then again the Devil may be Caroline and her “bitch” – SBF. Then again the silver tongued devil may have been BTC all along and in the end the chase was better that the catch!?

Don’t Forget the Joker

As the players sat at the table the final hand they played was aces and eights… read ’em and weep, the dead man’s hand again.

The Chase is Better than the Catch

by: Motörhead (1980)

You know I’m bad, the times I’ve had
I’ve got a bad reputation
I don’t care, I get my share
Don’t feel no deprivation
I don’t

The more I get, the better it is
I like it fine, I like a little whizz
Treat them like ladies, that’s a fact
You know the chase is better than the catch
You know

The silver tongued Devil, demon letch
I know just what I’m doing
I like a little innocent bitch
You know I ain’t just screwing
I ain’t

I love you, baby
Know you’re too much
I like it fine, I feel your touch
But your appearance don’t hold no class
You know the chase is better than the catch
You know

A little beauty, I love you madly
Come on home with me
I know you’re hot, I know what you’ve got
You know I wanna shake your tree
They know

Come on, honey, touch me right there
Come on, honey, don’t you get scared
Come on, honey, let me get you in the sack
You know the chase is better than the catch
You know

[Guitar Solo]

Alright, ba-ba-bam
Let me hear ya
Let me hear ya
Let me hear ya
Let me hear ya
I can’t hear ya
I can’t hear ya
I can’t hear ya
I can’t hear

The Ace of Spades

by: Motörhead (1980)

If you like to gamble, I tell you I’m your man
You win some, lose some, it’s all the same to me
The pleasure is to play, it makes no difference what you say
I don’t share your greed, the only card I need is
The Ace of Spades
The Ace of Spades

Playing for the high one, dancing with the devil
Going with the flow, it’s all a game to me
Seven or eleven, snake eyes watching you
Double up or quit, double stake or split
The Ace of Spades
The Ace of Spades

You know I’m born to lose
And gambling’s for fools
But that’s the way I like it, baby
I don’t wanna live forever
And don’t forget the joker

Pushing up the ante, I know you’ve got to see me
Read ’em and weep, the dead man’s hand again
I see it in your eyes, take one look and die
The only thing you see, you know it’s gonna be
The Ace of Spades
The Ace of Spades

“Exculpatory tone in big media description of SBF events”

More about SBF can be found on one of my favourite investing websites – The Midas Letter by James West.

It’s been a toss-up for me. Has SBF successfully purchased passage on the upper tier of justice with his multi-million dollar contributions to lawmakers? Or was his (one would think unforgivable) “Fuck regulators!” pronunciation – so rife with moral hazard if no conviction materializes – sufficient to void his business class seat on the Chosen One’s private justice jet?
